Afiyah · Policy notice · 29 October 2026

Content, community and moderation.

Clear standards for submitted content, feedback and any interactive area Afiyah makes available. This policy does not announce a public feed, private messaging or community feature.

Respectful and accurate contributions

Do not submit harassment, threats, discrimination, child exploitation, unlawful content, private information about others or intellectual-property infringements. Do not present unsafe medical claims as established fact or promote unlicensed diagnosis, treatment or medicine sales. Respectful disagreement, complaints and requests for support are allowed.

Supportive handling of distress

A person asking for help about distress or self-harm should receive a supportive response and appropriate signposting, not punishment merely for asking. Content that actively encourages harm or exploits a vulnerable person may require restriction. Do not rely on comments, feedback, chat or support email for an emergency; contact local emergency services when there is immediate danger.

Review, reasons and appeals

We assess reports in context and may correct, label, remove or restrict content proportionately. Automated flags may assist review but do not by themselves justify a consequential decision. A person can request human review at contact@getafiyah.com with the content reference and reason. We explain a material decision where safe and lawful and preserve evidence only as necessary. There is no guaranteed continuous moderation or emergency response.

Privacy, editorial content and feedback

A private conversation or care record does not become public content or an employer report. Journal feedback uses anonymous browser reactions rather than a verified patient review; it does not establish a treatment outcome. Educational articles identify relevant sources and clinical boundaries. Report a factual error for editorial review. You retain rights in your contributions and grant only the permission needed to process and display them for the feature you requested.

Questions and complaints

Contact privacy@getafiyah.com for privacy, permissions, deletion or security concerns, and contact@getafiyah.com for service complaints. Include a brief description and a safe reference; do not attach health records, identity documents, passwords or card details to an initial email. We verify identity and authority before releasing or changing personal data. You may complain to the competent regulator or court without first giving up any statutory right.
